You have too many videos on your TikTok profile, and it's becoming very disorganized and crowded that you cannot even look there. The best solution here is to create a playlist.

Initially, this feature was available for selected creators only, but now it is accessible on both Creators and Business accounts.

What is a TikTok playlist?

Also known as a creator playlist, TikTok’s playlist is a feature that allows users to classify their public videos into separate categories so that their followers can watch those videos series. In addition, users can organize their videos in different themes, and viewers can find relevant content from multiple videos on someone’s TikTok profile.

Important Note: Creator Playlists aren’t available to everyone on TikTok, so if you don’t see an option to create one in the Video tab on your profile, it is not available to you yet.

How to make a TikTok playlist and how to use it

There are two different ways how you can curate your TikTok content and organize it with a playlist. You can make a playlist from your profile or from a video you have already uploaded.

1. To make a playlist from your profile:
2. Open the TikTok app as usual.
3. Tap on Profile (bottom right corner).
4. In the Videos tab, tap on Sort videos into playlists.
5. Tap on a video that you want to start making the playlist with - it will be the first video of your playlist, but you may rearrange the order later or delete it if desired.
6. Or, you can tap on the plus icon next to your existing videos.

Keep in mind that TikTok allows you to make a playlist only with your public videos.

To make a playlist from a video:

1. Open TikTok.
2. Navigate to a video of yours that you want to use to create a playlist.
3. Tap on the three dots (right side of the video, or press and hold the video).
4. Tap on Add to Playlist.
5. Press on Create a Playlist.
6. Follow the further steps by naming the playlist and adding more videos to it if you want to.

Quick tips for creating a playlist on TikTok

Now that you know how to make a playlist on TikTok, you might as well learn how to remove a video from that playlist.

To remove a video from your TikTok playlist:

1. When you are watching the video that you’ve already added to a playlist, tap on the shared avatar icon.
2. Choose the option Remove from Playlist.

To delete a playlist:

1. Open TikTok.
2. Tap on the Profile icon (bottom right corner).
3. In the Videos tab, tap on the playlist you want to do the changes.
4. Tap on the three dots (top right corner).
5. Tap on Delete playlist.
6. Tap on Delete.

To edit a playlist:

1. Open TikTok.
2. Tap on the Profile icon (bottom right).
3. In the Videos tab, tap on the playlist you want to edit.
4. Tap on the three dots (top right corner).
5. Tap on Edit playlist.
6. From this option, you are also given the option to either Remove videos or Add videos.
7. Or, tap on the three-line icon (on the right of the video) to drag it or reorder other videos.
8. Lastly, tap on Done to save.

Issues you might be facing when not being able to make a TikTok playlist

If you cannot create a TikTok playlist for some reason and you come across a message error saying “Not Eligible”, it means that you have registered on this platform under the age of 13.

On a different note, maybe you are using an old version of the TikTok app - navigate to the Google Play Store/App Store and update it.
