How to Share Instagram Notes with Close Friends

By sharing your notes exclusively with your close friends, you can limit the audience to a specific group of people and keep them hidden from others.

1. Open your Instagram profile and tap the messenger icon in the upper right corner.
2. On the top of the chat list, you will see your profile picture with a plus sign next to it.
3. Tap the plus sign, and in the “Share what’s on your mind” field, write your 60-character message.
4. Select "Close Friends" before sharing the note.

The note will be shared only with your “Close Friends list.”

How to turn off Instagram Notes

To clarify, it's not possible to disable Instagram Notes as a feature for your profile. However, you can mute the Instagram Notes of other users, so they won't appear when you tap the messenger icon.

1. Open your Instagram app and tap on the messenger icon.
2. Long press the note of the person you want to mute.
3. Tap on the “Mute” option.

You have successfully muted other users’ notes.
