TikTok’s number of users is growing rapidly - and there’s a reason why this is the case. The short-video sharing platform has been growing excessively in the past couple of years, and besides for sharing funny stories or dancing videos - people are using it to grow their businesses, and it’s working.

Additionally, since TikToks usually have songs in the background, or the users are following trends, the music and sounds are constantly trending.

Therefore, TikTok created the option for users to save sounds or videos by labeling them as ‘Favorites’.

This feature is extremely helpful, especially if you find a song you like, or you’ve found a cooking video which you’d like to try at some point.

Luckily, you can save both sounds and videos, and you’ll have them stored in a built-in folder on TikTok.

We have created a step-by-step guide to help you learn how to add sounds/videos to ‘Favorites’ on TikTok, and where to find them, so keep reading to see the detailed guide!

How do I add sounds/videos to ‘Favorites’ on TikTok?

It’s perfectly understandable for you to want to have a video on TikTok placed somewhere for safekeeping. We’ve all come across a couple of really nice cooking videos, or a list of the best AirBnbs all over Europe, which are TikToks that shouldn’t be lost.

Luckily, there are a couple of ways for you to save your favorite TikToks for further notice. The first method that most people use is liking a video by pressing the heart icon, and then looking it up in the ‘Liked Videos’ section. However, using this particular method does not allow you to easily find them. Let’s say you spend at least 20-30 minutes on TikTok daily, this might mean that you like about 5-10 videos during that time. Thus, it will be extremely difficult for you to find the one particular video you have in mind.

Therefore, the best possible solution to this problem is adding the sounds or videos to the ‘Favorites’ tab.

To add videos to your ‘Favorites’ tab, follow these steps:

  1. Open the video you want to add to your favorites.
  2. You can either tap and hold on the video, and click on ‘Add to Favorites’, or you can click the ‘Share’ icon in the bottom-right corner, and scroll right in the last column that begins with ‘Report’. The ‘Add to Favorites’ button is after the ‘Stitch’ button.

To add sounds to your ‘Favorites’ tab, follow these steps:

  1. Find the video where the sound you want to save has been used.
  2. At the bottom of the video, the name of the sound will be displayed. Click on the sound, and in the following page you’ll see all public videos that have used the sound you’re looking into.
  3. In the upper part of the screen, click on the ‘Add to Favorites’ button.

Note: If you’re trying to find out the name of a song, and it’s not listed as in the screenshot above, you can still click on the sound, and go to the section where all the videos under this sound are placed. Scroll through the videos, and in the comments people are often asking about names of songs, so you might be in luck!
