Hulu offers the option to create separate, personalized profiles on your account for each of your friends and family members. However, the number of profiles you can create on one account is limited to six.

So if you want to free up space on your account because you’ve reached the six-limit profile per account, or if you simply want to remove someone’s profile to make room for another, you can do it by accessing the streaming service's settings.

In this article, we’ll explain how to delete profiles on Hulu from desktop, mobile and TV-connected devices like Roku and Apple TV.

How to delete a profile on Hulu via desktop (on Windows PC or Mac)

To delete a profile on Hulu from a laptop or desktop:

1. Log in to Hulu from your preferred browser.
2. With your mouse hover over the drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the screen, and select “Manage Profiles”.
3. Click on “Edit” (pencil icon) next to the profile you want to delete.
4. Click on “Delete profile” in the pop-up window.
5. A new window will pop up asking you if you are sure you want to delete this profile. Click on “Delete profile” again to confirm your choice.

Quick note: If someone is using the profile you want to delete on another device, you may not be able to delete it. Wait until the profile is not being used and try again to delete it.

How to delete a profile on Hulu using the mobile app

To delete a profile on Hulu using your mobile phone (iOS or Android):

1. Launch the Hulu app on your Android or iPhone.
2. Tap on “Account” in the bottom-right corner.
3. Tap the name of your account at the top to access the profile menu.
4. Tap “Edit” in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Tap the name of the profile you’d like to delete.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on “Delete Profile”.
7. A pop-up menu will appear asking you if you are sure you wish to delete the profile. Tap “Delete” to confirm your choice.

How to delete a profile on Hulu on TV-connected devices (Roku, Apple TV, and other smart TV)

Hulu is available on different platforms like Roku, Smart TV, Apple TV, Game Consoles, Set-Top Boxes, and Streaming Sticks. The deleting process may differ slightly depending on the TV device you are using.

However, all platforms should have the following steps:

1. Open Hulu on the TV device.
2. Go to “Manage Accounts”, and then select “Profiles”.
3. Select the profile you wish to remove and press OK.
4. Press OK again to confirm the deletion.

Deleting a profile will also delete all watching history and profile settings.

How to delete all profiles on Hulu

You can also delete all profiles from your Hulu account, except the primary profile associated with the account, you can do it only on a web browser.

1. Log in to your Hulu account and hover over the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
2. Select “Account”.
3. Scroll down to Privacy and Settings and click on “California Privacy Rights”.
4. Go to Manage Activity, select “Profiles” and click “Clear Selected”.
