Do you wish to change the language on your Disney Plus? Or does the content on Disney Plus show in a different language and you don’t know how to fix it? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Fortunately, the streaming platform has many language choices available to you on much of its content. You can watch content in four languages — English, Spanish, French, and Dutch, including more language options for Disney Plus originals.

And if you want to watch shows with subtitles, there are up to 16 languages you can choose from, including German, Italian, Japanese, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Cantonese Chinese. However, not every language is available for each title.

Apart from changing the language of movies and TV shows, you can change the app language for a specific profile in the profile settings. Changing the language will only apply to that profile, and your friends and family who are sharing Disney Plus with you can use it in their preferred language.

How to change the language on Disney +

You can change the language preferences on Disney Plus whether you're watching on a phone, tablet, or desktop.

Change Disney + (interface) language through a web browser

1. Log in to your Disney Plus account.
2. Click on profile on the top right corner and go to the “Edit Profiles” option.
3. Select the profile for which you want to change the language.
4. Scroll down to the “App Language” option and select your preferred language.
5. Click on the "Save" button at the bottom.

Change the Disney + (interface) language in the app

Changing the language in the Disney Plus app is similar to changing it through the browser, with slight differences.

1. Go to the Disney Plus app and tap on your profile on the bottom right.
2. Tap on “Edit Profiles” and select your profile.
3. Go to the “App Language” option and select your preferred language.
4. Tap on “Save” at the bottom and you’ll see an “Updated” message on the screen, confirming the language change.

Change the language of an individual movie or show (in the app or web browser)

1. Open the Disney Plus app or go to the website on your browser.
2. Tap or click on a movie or show title you would like to watch.
3. When the movie/show starts playing, pause it and go to the “Subtitles” icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Two columns will appear on the screen: One with Audio options and one with subtitle options. If you want to change the audio language, choose a language from the Audio options list, and select “Off” in the Subtitles list. If you only want to change the subtitles, select your preferred language from the Subtitles list, and leave the Audio options in its default settings.
5. When done, click or tap on the “X” icon or back arrow icon, and click “Play” to start watching.
